  1. I've never used Microsoft Word for my blogging but I have a dear friend who does. She likes to write everything in advance and also be able to save it on a separate file. She's never had a problem!

  2. I use Notepad to write up my articles. I never change fonts or use bolds or italics so 90% of word processing features are useless.

Windows has also released a free program for blog writing called Windows Live Writer. Once you tell it where your blog is it will post there from your desktop. It allows a lot of formatting, easy hyperlinking, and you can add pictures without worrying about how it will format on the internet. I've used it once and it was very nice, but again, too many features for what I need.

Another benefit of blogging on your desktop is that you have a saved copy in case your site irrevocably goes down.

  4. Yeah!!! It is a good idea to compose blog with a Text Editor, make all minor typos etc. checks, and then post it finally. Earlier I used to use HTML editor.

  6. @ Hitesh Rawat,

I am using MSOffice 2007...all i need to do is open my MSWord -- when it's open i click new then select the option "New Blog Post" then you can start typing your post and when your done just click publish -- of course before you can post you need to set it up but it doesn't need an expert to set it up, all you can do is do it yourself.

I help this help, cheers :)

  8. Word works with Wordpress blogs, only if you use the proper cut/paste button so it strips out the junk html code WORD puts behind the text.

It can be easy to get horizontal ruler lines and other text effects into a blog, when you use Word (plus for text colors).
