Spring time here in New Zealand

Finally it's spring time here in New Zealand, time to start going out in the garden and plant some flowers. I really don't like winter, it's super cold and it seems like it slow me down because I feel like I wanted to be like a bear "Hibernate all the time" hahaha!. Anyways, I managed to get out and do something with kids during winter and even inside the house we still have some fun … in this photo I made a gloop for them to play and it's very effective it kills time :)

Busy days with kids 24/7

It's amazing how our kids surprises us parents with what they can do. I spend all of my time with my kids and i still have those moment where they surprises me with things they can do...i sometimes thought that they are still young and can't do certain things but they will just came and show us that they can and sometimes i feel guilty that i don't have that trust to my kids to let them do it or encourage them instead of stopping them because we are scared that their might get hurt.

I was watching one mum at my sons kindergarten school where she lead her son or tell her son not to climb because he might get hurt and by watching her i was thinking why can't she just let her son experience and explore and yet i can see myself doing that to my son, sometimes i am even annoyed of hearing my own voice "don't do that or no, you can't do it yet!, your too little for that..." I learned and i let my son explore now, if he get hurt because he climbed and fall it's a new learning experience for him. Their is one time where he run to me and cry because the other boy was hitting every kids that are playing the train (Which he loved to play) and i divert he's attention to other thing to do instead crafts, painting and then he later come to me and say that he will go back and play the train because the boy is not their anymore and now he knows that if he see that naughty boy (That's what he call) he need to stay away and go and play with other friends instead. My one year old daughter in the other hand is quite and yet she always amazed me, just like this morning, i usually ask them what they like for breakfast but i fail to do that today instead i cut the chocolate bread, her dad made last night and she starts crying because she wants to choose whats for her breakfast and she chooses corn flakes, then i let her help preparing it for her and then i prepared her high chair so she can start eating and she cried again, this time she don't want to sit in the high chair anymore, she wants to sit in the dining table instead and use the adult chair....i always have great time with them and excited every stage of their development.

Dinner Time battle

I thought i am the only Mum who have a dinner battle with my 4 years son, me and my husband have tried a lot of ways, but not working. He is fine with breakfast and lunch but when it comes with dinner he just don't eat them or if you let him he will sit in front of he's food for 2 hours. One Mum friend of mine suggested to give my kids an option of what to eat during dinner but i don't want that way, i want my kids to learn to eat what's in the table and not to be fussy. I heard one mum who dished up three type of food because her kids are fussy and she give in to the battle. I really admire my Mum and even wonder how she manage all four of us ... we eat what she dished up even vege's, we learn to love the food we hate. I supposed i need to experience the stage most parents have experience to be able to grow and one day i can say been there, done that but at the moment i need to enjoy my moment and continue facing my battle.

I saw this ad and it's so cute, i wish this to happen with my son.

Great resources of fun for kids

Do you let your kids go online? I let my son play online because i noticed that he learned a lot, of course at he's age turning to four (4yrs. Old) i choose the site that he is allowed and timed aswell.
There are times that i won't let him go online and instead i downloaded a few educational games for him. I always like to see my kids excel academically and i think letting him play educational games molding he's mind and in a fun way. He always surprises me when new things and i always asked him where did he learn them (Of course, i know where) but i want to know if he knows where he pick them up.

I would like to share this to all parents...great resource for your kids fun time.
  1. Sebran - This is a free software -- It's never too early for our kdis to learn the addition, subraction, ABC, word memory and more... My son's favorite.
  2. Kea Coloring Book - Coloring -- Your kids are going to to love this....their so many pictures to choose and free to download.
  3. Nickjr - Great Place for the kid to play an interactive game, it's great for their brain.
  4. Playhouse Disney - Same as Nickjr...inter-act your kids...it teaches them to reciprocate.
  5. coloringbookfun - This site have lots for you to do with your kids but not online.
  6. childcareland - Early Learning activities for your kids...again, they are going to have fun not being online.
I hope you find this useful and helpful...you can have a lot of fun time with your kids and you can have a time for your self aswell while they are having fun.

I still love my son so much no matter what and no regret...what about you?

I would like to share this because i have a son and i agree almost everything in this post. Just today my son gave me a hard day the moment i woke up this morning until he went in bed tonight...after upon reading this email i feel relief and i said to my husband that it is normal for he's age...even he's teacher at kindergarten told him off for talking too much, even during their mat time, the teacher said "ARJ (He's nickname) it's not your turn to talk, it's your turn to listen to the teacher" and he said but....but... -- I just smiled at the teacher, are that's my son (What can a mother do!?) it's amazing though because no matter what being a mother and parents we always proud of them and love them so much and forget all the hardship we encountered in the end of the day.

Anyway, before i carried over here's the email i am talking about and i hope you all enjoy and laugh. For those who have sons & those who are happy that they don't...

And you also find out interesting things when you have sons, like:-
  1. A king size waterbed holds enough water to fill a 200 m2 house to a depth of 10 cm.
  2. If you spray hair spray on dust balls and run over them with roller blades, they can ignite.
  3. A 3-year old Boy's voice is louder than 200 adults in a crowded restaurant.
  4. If you hook a dog leash over a ceiling fan, the motor is not strong enough to rotate a 20 Kg boy wearing Batman underwear and a Superman cape. It is strong enough, however, if tied to a paint can, to spread paint on all four walls of a 6m x 6m room.
  5. You should not throw cricket balls up when the ceiling fan is on. When using a ceiling fan as a bat, you have to throw the ball up a few times before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit a cricket ball a long way.
  6. The glass in windows (even double-glazed) doesn't stop a cricket ball hit by a ceiling fan.
  7. When you hear the toilet flush and the words 'uh oh', it's already too late.
  8. Brake fluid mixed with bleach makes smoke, and lots of it.
  9. A six-year old Boy can start a fire with a flint rock even though a 36-year old Man says they can only do it in the movies,
  10. Certain Lego's will pass through the digestive tract of a 4- year old Boy.
  11. Play dough and microwave should not be used in the same sentence.
  12. Super glue is forever.
  13. No matter how many jelly crystals you put in a swimming pool you still can't walk on water.
  14. Pool filters do not like jelly crystals.
  15. VCR's do not eject 'BL&T' sandwiches even though TV commercials show they do.
  16. Garbage bags do not make good parachutes.
  17. Marbles in petrol tanks make lots of noise when driving.
  18. You probably DO NOT want to know what that smell is.
  19. Always look in the oven before you turn it on; plastic toys do not like ovens.
  20. The fire department in Brisbane, Qld, has a 5-minute response time.
  21. The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earthworms dizzy.
  22. It will, however, make cats dizzy.
  23. Cats throw up twice their body weight when dizzy.

80% of Women will pass this on to almost all of their friends, with or without kids. To those who never have son yet or on the way, i hope this post won;t change your mind...LOL!

80% of Men who read this will try mixing the bleach and brake fluid.
